Affiliate Disclosure

Effective June 29, 2026

Some of the links on Warm in the Dark are affiliate links, and we believe in being upfront about exactly what that means.

When we link to a product we love, that link is sometimes an affiliate link. If you click it and buy something, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is exactly the same.

This disclosure is made in keeping with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255). It tells you that we have a "material connection" to some of the products and brands we mention, meaning we may be compensated when you act on a link.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

We're a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites, and we may take part in other affiliate programs as well. These small earnings help keep the lights on around here.

The promise underneath it

The commission never decides what we recommend. We write about things we actually use and actually like, from the dog food to the good lamp. If we didn't love it, it wouldn't go on the Site. Our opinions are our own and honest, whether or not there's a link attached.

Sponsored content

Now and then, a brand may pay for a post or send us something to try. When that happens, we'll say so clearly inside that post, every time, using words like "sponsored," "paid," or "gifted." You'll never have to guess.

Where you'll see this

A reminder of this disclosure appears on or near posts that contain affiliate links, so the relationship is clear at the point you might act on it.

Your part

Recommendations are a starting point, not a guarantee. What works for us and our house may not be right for yours, so do your own research before you buy.
